Who we are

A circle you join by invitation.

We are a community of young professionals aged 18 to 30, united by one thing: the will to do. Students of leading universities, entrepreneurs, and specialists at the start of a serious path.

Once a week we meet to launch projects, exchange experience, and support one another. Each of us stands by our reputation and our word. That is why we stay selective: the circle stays small and the trust within it runs deep.

Belonging here means joining an environment where everyone has a name, a cause, and people ready to stand with them.

What Rotary is

The world's oldest community of service leaders

The first Rotary club was founded by attorney Paul Harris in Chicago in 1905, he wanted to bring together people of different professions to exchange ideas and do good. Today Rotary International is more than 1.2 million people in 46,000 clubs in almost every country on earth.

Rotaract began as a Rotary youth program in 1968 and became a distinct membership type in 2019. It's a movement for those aged 18 to 30, future leaders who are already changing their cities and stepping onto the international stage.

Structure

District 2223

Our club belongs to District 2223 of Rotary International, dozens of Rotary and Rotaract clubs and direct access to the global community.

Motto

Service Above Self

The principle every Rotarian lives by. Here leadership is measured by what you've done for others.

Scale

120 years of history

For over a century Rotary has united professionals who turn ideas into real action, from local projects to global campaigns.

History of the movement

Rotaract through the decades

From a single club in 1968 to a global movement of young leaders on every continent.

Rotaract is part of Rotary International. Since 2019, Rotaract clubs belong to Rotary International directly, and their members are officially Rotarians, on equal footing with members of Rotary clubs. Rotaract is simply Rotary's youth.

Our projects

Real work, right beside us

Behind every project there are real people. Here is just part of what we have done.

Международный обмен с клубом Дублин
Project · international exchange

Cultural exchange with Rotaract Dublin

Together with Rotaract Dublin and Rotaract Turkey, we exchange parcels of national culture. This autumn we'll host our Irish guests in Moscow.

Вдохновляем музыкой
Project · art

Inspired by Music

We support Daniil Khachaturov, a young blind singer with an extraordinary voice, in realising his musical projects nationally and worldwide.

What the club offers

A belonging that opens doors

The club gives back to those who invest in it. And it gives back what money cannot buy: an international community and the doors that Rotary's standing opens.

Experience

Volunteer hours

Documented hours of community service, a weighty line on a CV and in applications for study and grants.

Practice

Real projects & startups

Hands-on experience launching charitable, social, and entrepreneurial projects, from idea to result, alongside like-minded people.

Reputation

Letter of recommendation

For active members, the club provides a letter of recommendation for studying abroad or internships, signed by the club president.

UN status

Doors to international organizations

Rotary holds high consultative status at the UN and runs projects together with WHO, UNICEF and UNESCO. Club membership and references can be a real advantage when applying for internships and jobs at these institutions.

Education

Admission to Western universities

A letter of recommendation from the club, and often membership in Rotary itself, gives an edge when applying to leading Western universities.

Scholarships

Rotary Peace Centers

Rotary Peace Centers operate at leading universities worldwide. The club can nominate a candidate for a fully funded Rotary scholarship, at universities in England, the USA, Japan and Sweden.

International Committees

Cross-country connections

We have cross-country committees linking Russia with the USA, Germany, Italy, China and other countries. Membership opens the door to attending committee meetings, running joint projects with Rotary and Rotaract clubs worldwide, and building professional ties at an international level.

Careers in Russia

Internships at leading Russian companies

Many Rotarians are owners or senior executives of major Russian companies across industries and cities. That gives club members a rare route in: an internship secured not through a stack of CVs, but through a personal recommendation inside a community that already trusts you.

How to join the club

Two ways to participate

There are different ways to get involved with Rotaract, depending on what you are looking for and how much you would like to commit.

Friend of the club
  • Attend open Rotary and Rotaract events, by invitation
  • Participate in project work by arrangement with the club

  • The right to take part in all club events and projects
  • A letter of recommendation from the club

Club membership gives you access to a network of over 46,000 clubs in every corner of the world.
How to join the club

Membership means involvement

We're upfront about both what membership gives you and what it asks of you. The club runs on everyone's involvement.

01

A personal introduction: a meeting or a recommendation from a current club member.

02

Attending a few of the club's open events as a guest.

03

Review of the candidacy and a vote by club members at a general meeting.

04

An induction ceremony and payment of the entrance fee under the club's rules.

What we expect from members

Member responsibilities

Membership means regularly attending meetings, taking part in at least some of the year's projects, and paying annual dues. The club depends on everyone's contribution.

What you get in return

An international network and real results

For the time and dues you invest, you get official Rotarian status, access to a network of over 46,000 clubs in 200 countries, letters of recommendation, and real experience with international projects. And a circle of people who stay friends for years.
